Thailand to Host WSAVA
World Congress

The Veterinary Practitioner Association of Thailand, represented by Executive Board Member Assist. Prof. Dr. Parntep Ratankorn, Dean of MU's Faculty of Veterinary Science, was recently chosen by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) to host their 28th World Congress, to be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok on 19 - 22 October, 2003. The Preliminary Scientific Program for the event, which will be co-sponsored by the Faculty, anticipates sessions on a variety of topics related to the field of veterinary medicine, including Feline Medicine, Infectious and Zoonotic Diseases, Anaesthesia, Surgery, and many others. Specialty and Satellite Symposia are also being planned, such as the WSAVA Animal Welfare Symposium. Small animal veterinary practitioners from around the world have been officially welcomed to attend by Assist. Prof. Dr. Parntep, in his capacity as Executive Secretary of the WSAVA Congress 2003 Organizing Committee.
